The Octogram Test
The Octogram® is a psychological test that measures the 8 roles of the Competing Values Framework. The Competing Values Framework, also known as the "Quinn Model", was created by Robert E. Quinn to describe the (sometimes competing) drives and roles of business.
Some examples would be:
- The need to achieve and be recognized for your individual work vs. teamwork / succeeding as a group
- Focusing on the here and now vs. focusing on the future
- Creativity and openness to new ideas vs. staying with what is known
The Octogram test is a reliable and accurate tool for seeing how you look within the competing values framework. This test measures the personality traits underpinning each of the roles and gives you an insight into your natural work and leadership style.
The original test was written and developed by André Tjoa and Bert Goos of Online Talent Manager.
